The Grand River Fly Tyers are a charter club of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF). We encourage and promote the art of fly-tying and fly-fishing through EDUCATION. We accept all ages and skill levels from novice to veterans.
We support all FFF goals. The FFF stands for "all fish, all waters" in fresh as well as salt water. The FFF "IS" the voice of the fly-fishermen.
We publish a quarterly newsletter "The Fly Dressers's Gazette" where we post our club events, fishing stories, fly of the month and other informative articles. Each member receives a copy for their enjoyment! This newsletter is sent out electronically and posted here on our website.
The Grand River Fly Tyers are excited to have been recognized with The Club Achievement Award by the Great Lakes Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers as well as several members having been recognized on an international level. We are humbled by the recognition given to us by the GLC and plan to continue our efforts toward conservation and education.
The Grand River Fly Tyers are active in the fly fishing and fly tying community as well. In fact we have been invited and are participating in many shows and fly tying and fly fishing events. Not to mention, our regular tying meetings and our Tuesday night fishing league.
