Youth Program
The Grand River Fly Tyers has started a Youth Program for the local and surrounding areas teaching youngsters the art of tying and fly casting/fishing. Our youth program is a complete program that gives the youth the chance to fish using the techniques they learn within this program such as fly tying and fly casting as well as on the water instruction and basic entomology.
Our program is designed for a youngster to join us and learn about the sport of fly tying and fly fishing and allowing that adolescent to enter into a new lifelong hobby.
One of the main objectives of the FFF-GRFT is to promote the sport and hobby of both fly tying and fly fishing. We as a club feel that our youth is a very important group to promote. The next generation are the ones that will carry on the sport for years to come! As preservation of the sport is one of our goals, this is the primary reason our group created our youth program.
